This year, Curtis and I attended the Renaissance Fair in Crownsville, Maryland, twice; once at the beginning of the season, and then again on the very last day. It was amazing to experience how different the weather was between our two visits: from the hot muggy weather typical of Maryland summers to cold, breezy temperatures on the eve of Halloween. I have to say, I much preferred attending the festival in October, because the cooler weather was much more pleasurable to walk around in. Plus, one really gets to witness the truly awesome costumes people put together when the weather isn't unbearably hot. On our second visit, Curtis debuted the Jon Snow costume I made him from scratch, which ended up getting quite a bit of attention. I absolutely cannot wait until next year's festival...I'll be working on more costumes throughout the year!
